In August of 2016, Plank & Pearl moved out of three storage spaces near a busy Denver intersection and into our new home in Lakewood. After an exhaustive search for the right place, we fell in love with a rather dilapidated building that had been the first retail store for Vitamin Cottage (now Natural Grocers). Even though we knew we were in for a busy six months of remodeling, fixing, and painting, we fell in love with the history of the space, it’s original bones, and the positive energy that radiates throughout. We knew, somehow, that it was meant to be more than just a warehouse for our rental collection—and that it needed to be filled with people having a great time together.
And we now have just that! We fondly call it “The Cottage,” to honor its original roots. In addition to our inviting warehouse, we have a beautifully finished venue for intimate events, such as showers, cocktail parties, meetings and workshops. It has a full kitchen and airy rooms decorated with our eclectic vintage furniture, art, and design pieces. Some guests say it feels like walking through a small museum, with surprises around every corner.
Our final project was the transformation of our upper loft into a natural-light photography studio. It’s fully furnished for boudoir shoots, but has flexible space to suit the needs of other photography projects. We invite you to schedule a tour and come visit The Cottage at Plank & Pearl.
